[The problem with having Yuya as a partner? He goes all out for holidays...which means it shouldn't be too much of a surprise when he somehow sneaks into Vector's apartment with a tray of confectioneries, a bright red ribbon tied around his neck in place of his collar, and with the biggest smile in the world on his face. This may be the first time he's entering Vector's place without permission, but he just hopes the treats will pacify the Barian enough not to strangle him.]

Guess what today is~!

[Just going to make himself at him till Vector comes to murder him, setting the tray on the table along with...some lube and condoms that he ends up digging out of his pockets. AT LEAST HE'S BEING STRAIGHTFORWARD?!]

[THAT gets a dry laugh.]

Hah, I could ask the same for you. [But he gives in to Vector's tugging, instead deciding to take a step forward and wraps his arms around the other's waist. At least he can still hide his face this way by burying it against the Barian's shoulder.]

This still feels like a big test. Vector-- [No, if this is a big prank, he'll go along now:] Shingetsu...Do you know what Valentines day is?

[Being an alien emperor and all. But he figures Vector would know-! Well, even if he has to explain, he's okay with just holding onto the Barian like this.]

[Shingetsu gives him a confused look, face scrunching up before being pulled into a sudden hug makes him yelp.]

Whoa! Yuya?!

[His hand comes to hesitantly rest on Yuya's back, fidgeting there for a moment like a scared bird in his lack of knowing what to do. He is pretty sure that he should mind the sudden proximity and the awkward question more than he does, which is surprising but not necessarily bad. ...he thinks.]

Haha, what kind of question is that? [Feeling slowly more at ease, he rubs small circles against Yuya's back.] It's the day when you give presents to your loved ones, right? You get chocolates and on White Day you give them something back.

[The initial fuss Vector put up may have been worrying at first, but Yuya instantly melts under the Barian's soothing gesture. Man, if only they could could like this, he'd be happy with just that at this point.

There's an affirmative and very pleased hum in response to the holiday summary. At least he doesn't have to go out of his way to explain. Yuya tentatively raises his head up to catch Vector's eye with an obvious blush on his face as he continues to hold him close:]

Then will you share Valentines day with me? J-just us...you know? [He's a little too embarrassed to point out the ribbon on his neck, so he hopes Vector will notice without him saying anything.]

[Welp, the other is all but melting into him. It gives Shingetsu a pause and for a comical moment he raises his hand and squints at it, wondering if it always had this power.]

I don't mi-wha?? [This has to be the 'being caught onthe wrong foot' day, because Yuya sure as hell keeps doing just that to him. The redhead sputters a bit as a bright red blush covers his face.]

A-a-are you sure?!

[There's a ribbon around his neck rather than the usual collar. And valentine sweets. And adult toys. What the hell just happened, is his friend screwing with him?!]

[Yuya somehow manages to think Vector is COMPLETELY adorable even when his own face is just as red as his. They're equally flustered now, but there's some sort of strange boost to Yuya's ego seeing the Barian so caught off guard. It's usually him in that situation! (...And now he sort of gets where Vector's coming from now.)

His smile grows a little more confident as he chuckles.]

Pretty sure! Heh, I wouldn't have gone through all this trouble if I wasn't. [One hand slips from Vector's waist and lightly touches his cheek.] It's your choice though. I really like you! But it's your decision if you want me to leave or not.

[Even though he doesn't want to, yet today's just too confusing to make any fuss.]

[W-well, if he puts it like that... Yeah, that was probably a pretty silly question. But why him?!

The redhead unconsciously nuzzles his cheek against Yuya's hand, looking flustered out of his mind.]

I. I'm not sure..! I mean.. That's ...all of a sudden.. ?

[All of a sudden, huh?

He should be questioning this more, but Vector is so damn cute! His fingers slide over his cheek while he continues to cup his face, both to feel the skin under his touch and to soothe the Barian.]

Better time than never; though, and I'll say it a hundred times if you're not convinced-- I like you. I really, really like you! [He pushes his luck a bit further and leans their foreheads together, almost barely brushing the tips of their noses together as well. He has no clue what's come over Vector, but he's inclined to indulge himself in the blushing teen's current state.]

Is that okay?

[He should say no. He really, really should say no right this very second, or at least have a huge problem with the whole situation.

Yet still... Something tells him this is fine. More than fine, good even.]

Mmmmh~ [Parting his lips lightly, he looks at Yuya through hooded eyes.] I should be shouting something about not being like that and you turning this into sexual assault right about now.

[But there is the barest hint of a smile in the corners of his lips and he doesn't look unhappy or off-put at all. Instead his fingers give Yuya's shirt a little tug.]

Hey, I'm making it very clear right now that it's up to you. Besides, you can think of that stuff more as a stupid joke if it makes you feel better. [A stupid joke on him in thinking that things would go how he expected, although things seem to be smoothing out now. His prior confidence on the whole set-up seems to be restored given all of Vector's verbal and nonverbal cues. It's still a very good sign that there's still that underlying attraction beneath any messed up memories.

Maybe Vector was completely right about having their bodies remember for them.]

And I know...that you like me too. [There's a small break in his sentence as Yuya closes the distance a little more with a slight tilt of his head and his mouth just barely pressed against Vector's own while he whispers. The move is both to tease and give the taller boy an opening to break away.]

So...happy Valentines day.
